Susan O'Brien

Susan has recently retired as Principal of the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology in Cambridge, an independent higher education institute educating women for ministry in the Catholic Church. The Institute is a member of the ecumenical Cambridge Theological Federation and Susan has a strong commitment to ecumenical and interfaith dialogue. She was previously Pro-Rector of Liverpool Hope University. As a historian her research interests lie in transnational evangelical movements and Catholicism, social action and gender. Susan co-ordinates volunteers for the Cambridge City Foodbank and is a founder Trustee of the Charles Plater Trust, a Catholic grant-making trust focused on supporting the implementation of Catholic Social Teaching..
