Alyson Peberdy
Alyson recently retired as vicar of a parish in south east London and now lives in Oxford where she is an associate priest at St. Michael’s Summertown, an honorary chaplain at Ripon College Cuddesdon and a mentor with refugee Resource, Oxford. Her academic background is in Sociology and Social Anthropology and she was for ten years research fellow and lecturer in Health and Social Welfare at the Open University. She has also worked in Nigeria and Papua New Guinea. She has a strong interest in social justice and Community Organising. Being an ordained woman in a church which remains largely sexist keeps alive her passion for inclusivity.
